Dear Juniors who are already dual enrolled at PSC:
If you would like to take any summer classes during the first summer session from May-June 2014, you are still able to do so! Please call the school and make an appointment to meet with Ms. Mary Beth to plan your class schedule and set up your academic plan for your senior year as well.
Also, PSC has implemented a new rule regarding the PERT exam for dual enrollment students that you need to know about! All dual enrolled high school students must now pass all three sections of the PERT in order to dual enroll. This means that you need to study hard or get tutoring with Dr. Mike Bere in preparation to pass all three sections. Again, you will not be allowed to dual enroll for any more classes if you have not passed all three sections of the PERT (reading 106, English/writing 103, math/algebra 114). You can also qualify to dual enroll with ACT scores (Reading 19, English 17, and Math 24) or SAT scores (Reading 440, Math 440).
The summer terms begin close to the beginning of May, and registration opens up for those classes during the first week of April. Plan ahead to register early so you can get good professors!
Please disregard this info email if you do not plan to dual enroll.
