Hello, Juniors & Seniors!
It's that time of year- planning for your final testing!
For college-bound students:
If you are a junior, you will want to register in Jan-Feb to take your first ACT and SAT early in the spring semester.
If you are a senior, it is time to register for more tests. At this point, you should have taken an ACT and SAT, so you want to focus on only one of these this year, to push your scores higher and give yourself better opportunities for college scholarships and admission. You need to register to take the Writing test with all tests that you take during your senior year!
Printed tickets and photo IDs are required for you to gain access to the testing location you have chosen (I suggest a local college or university). Make sure that you list CIAS (CEEB: 101614) as your high school. Also have your scores sent to up to four colleges of your choice for free! Make sure that you print a map of the campus and arrive on your test date early.

For vocational school-bound students:
You need to prepare to take a TABE and a college placement test (these will vary according to the school: PERT, Compass, CPT). Contact the school that you are planning to attend for more information ASAP!

For military-bound students:
You need to contact a recruiting office if your choice ASAP! You will have ASVAB prep and testing to complete, plus physical training. Inform yourself at www.military.com/join-armed-forces/asvab

Also, be aware of the application deadlines for early admission and late admission for the colleges and universities that you are applying to attend. Every school has different criteria for admissions. Late admission acceptance percentages are much lower than early admission acceptance percentages, and those stats will vary from school to school as well.
Inform yourself by visiting the test websites and college websites and talking to admissions counselors in order to make wise decisions for your future education!
