There are two ways to dual enroll at Pensacola State College or the University of West Florida:
1) Enroll in or stay enrolled in CIAS, and we help you plan a student's schedule and make professor recommendations. The whole school year is officially transcripted by CIAS. Parents pay CIAS per credit hour (approx. $72 for PSC and $105 for UWF), which we then remit to the college/university once they bill us. Parents also pay for textbooks and lab fees, if applicable.
2) Disenroll from CIAS and enroll with Escambia Co. as a homeschool student. The school year is not transcripted by the county and a student receive no diploma. Dual enrollment tuition is free, but parents pay for textbooks and lab fees, if applicable.
Further Note: If a student has been enrolled in CIAS for both 9th and 10th grades, students are allowed to dual enroll if they pass all parts of the PERT or ACT/SAT qualifying tests. They may dual enroll as homeschool students for 11th and the fall semester of 12th grade for free tuition. They are then allowed to dual enroll as CIAS students after they re-enroll in CIAS for the spring semester of their 12th grade in order to graduate, receive a diploma, and transcript their credits all together. Parents pay tuition fees for this semester to CIAS, after which we remit payment to PSC.
