groups.yahoo.com/group/C-H-A-M-P/summaryWelcome to Christian Homeschoolers Association of Milton & Pace. Also known as C.H.A.M.P. We are excited to have you visit us online and look forward to meeting you at an upcoming activity. This is our first year and when we started out we were just a small group of families who came together to start activities for homeschoolers in the North Santa Rosa County area. We are a God-fearing, loving group who wish to build each other up in the Lord Jesus and encourage each other through communication of events and issues at hand. This co-op is also an FPEA recognized group, which means you can renew or join them through us at the discounted group rate. We just finished up our 08-09 school year with a party on May the 26th. For the 2009-2010 school year we will change our co-op classes to Monday instead of Tuesdays. Outside of classes we have other activities such as Field trips, Family park days, Mom's Night Out, Dad’s Night Out, 4-H club and a Bible Bee club.(for info see http://www.biblebee.org) There are no registration or tuition fees charged. This is a ministry for homeschoolers by homeschoolers. Donations are gratefully accepted. Our Co-op email system will be closed/approval, applicable to only the members of our homeschool co-op group. Thank you for your cooperation in this. For questions or more info you may contact Shelly at 850-994-6644 or 850-261-0999. Mary Beth, I have been working this summer with Mrs. Amy Pernie of In His Steps Christian Dance Studio and Performing Arts Center. We have been working on establishing a homeschool theatre class for middle and high school students. We announced this class to WFHESL members but we still have some openings. I wondered if any of your CIAS students might be interested. Please feel free to forward this on to them. (Time is limited for sign up, so please forward quickly if you think there may be any interest.) The Theatre course will be held on Wednesday afternoons from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. The class should begin the first week of September and run through the entire school year. The instructor will be Heather York. Her impressive bio follows at the end of this e-mail. Classes will focus on the development of the actor's body, mind and voice as they work together to create a final production. Technical elements of theatre (staging, props, costuming, and minimal lighting) will also be introduced as we move through the production process. The cost is shown below: 1st child $40/mo. 2nd child $35/mo. 3rd child $30/mo. There will be a $15.00 one-time registration fee per student or $25.00 per family. An additional one-time production fee for each student in the class will be approximately $50 per student (This covers, royalty charges, scripts etc). We must have a minimum of 12 students to hold the class. The maximum will be 20 students and will be open to the first 20 who sign up. For families interested in multiple classes at In His Steps, only one registration fee will be required for all classes. Checks will be held by the studio until we have the minimum of 12 students needed to hold the class. We would like to begin the class next week, so please sign up quickly if interested. As this will be a full year course, it should qualify for a full high school credit. There will probably be one major production, possibly 2 smaller productions. Specific production selections will depend on number of students, ages, gender, etc. We may be presented with a few alternatives, on which the class can vote. From this point, to ask questions or register for the class, please respond directly to Amy Pernie using the information below. I do not need to be the "middleman", but I would be curious as people choose to sign up or not. Contact information to register or ask questions: Amy Pernie - Owner In HIS Steps Christian Dance Studio & Performing Arts Center 8620 Pensacola Blvd Pensacola FL 32534 850-474-4922 E-mail: missamysdance@hotmail.com Web site: www.inhisstepsinc.comI think this is a wonderful opportunity for our middle and high school children. I hope many of you will take advantage of it. Blessings, Bobbi Grubb BIO FOR HEATHER LYNN YORK, THEATRE INSTRUCTOR Heather has been involved in theatre productions for nearly thirty years and has been directing for the last sixteen. She holds valid teaching certifications in three states and has worked as an educator and director as well as an artistic and technical designer. Throughout her career she has taught theatre to students ranging in age from five to sixty-seven. She has led numerous successful theatre programs, worked in community theatre and built up programs in her church so that quality theatre could be brought back to mainstream entertainment. She is excited to be a part of In His Steps and looks forward to seeing what God has in store for His program.

We have received information from Camp Baldwin in Elberta, Alabama, about their Estuary Life Environmental Education Program. "Estuary Life is a Christ-centered program exposing students to the Gulf Coast estuary system and God's creation by providing them with hands-on learning about animal, marine, and plant life of the region. Being located on beautiful Wolf Bay is an excellent benefit for our instruction and activities on and off the water. You'll especially love the classes that include sailing on the Cyrus E. King, a 65-foot schooner. Leadership classes are also offered, using the low ropes course. All classes are taught from a Biblical world view, with worship being an integral part of the programs. Our prayer is to expose, encourage, and equip students to spend quality time outdoors discovering the beauty and order of God's creations." Rom 1:20. -----Original Message----- From: tammy sutton <tammysutton@hotmail.com> Subject: RE: FREE Show/Christmas on the Coast Performance Also, still send donations to Tammy Sutton 3363 Silkwood Ln, Pace, 32571 made payable to PCC. By His Grace, Tammy Sutton Author/Speaker www.couragetotell.netFrom: tammysutton@hotmail.com Subject: FREE Show/Christmas on the Coast Performance Date: Thu, 7 Nov 2013 15:54:05 -0600 What a blessing, just received a call. Hillary wanted to offer admittance for FREE on Dec. 12th 1:30 show. I still need a headcount of how many in your family, and how many under two, so you must RSVP to Tammy Sutton at tammysutton@hotmail.com so I can pass on details of where to enter Saengar and time. Read Hillary's comments about donations to help cover cost of staff and ushers. Those who have paid we can void the check and if you would like to rewrite for donation let me know. I think a min. of $10.00 per family is fair. Pray and ask the Lord what amount your family should donate. We want to be a blessing as a home school community and show our appreciation for this amazing opportunity. By His Grace, Tammy Sutton Author/Speaker www.couragetotell.netHi Tammy, Thank you, again, for reaching out to our organization regarding a special Christmas on the Coast performance preview the afternoon of Thursday, December 12th. We are thrilled to have the opportunity to reach out to the homeschool community and would like to offer admittance to the dress rehearsal free of charge. In order to accommodate the group, however, the PCC will incur charges for extra Saenger Theatre staff including ushers. We typically would not be facing these charges as we have never had patrons at our afternoon dress rehearsal, but we really want to make this opportunity a reality and potential tradition for many years to come! Any donations that will help offset these charges are greatly appreciated! Thank you for your help, and I look forward to seeing everyone Thursday, December 12th!
