Dear Class of 2013:
WE NEED YOUR HELP!
Each year, we ask that the junior class help at the seniors' graduation. Your service frees the families of the seniors up so that they can enjoy the special day with their senior. Your time will come around next year, and you will appreciate all the help that you will receive in turn!
Your duties may include handing out graduation programs before the ceremony, setting up the food for the reception, running errands, and keeping the cake served and punch/drinks replenished throughout the reception, Ms. Sarah is in charge of the organizing and staffing the reception, so she will be your boss.
Please meet her at the church at 5 pm on Friday, May 25. At Charity Chapel 5820 Montgomery Ave Pensacola, FL 32526
Please make plans to attend and help.
Below is the official invitation and list of the Class of 2012: The Senior Class of Christian Institute of Arts & Sciences announces its Commencement Exercises On Friday evening, May 25 Two Thousand Twelve at six o'clock Charity Chapel Pensacola, Florida

Hello, Seniors!
This Thursday's Senior Workshop will be from 4-5 pm (not the previously scheduled 5-6). Many of you are planning to go to the Toby Mac concert at the Civic Center that evening, and I want to give you the opportunity to go!
This senior meeting is important, so all seniors need to plan to attend (parents not required this time)!
What to Bring: 1) Your nominations to vote for your class distinctives: verse, song, colors, flowers, motto, etc. The nomination form is attached to this e-mail for your convenience!
2) The 3-ring binder that I told you to put together, with a 6-8 tab divider set.
See you Thursday!

Hello, 2013 Seniors and parents. It is now that time of year to fill out your FAFSA for federal pell grants for college. The earlier you will it out after January 1, the more likely you are to receive funds. The FAFSA is for pell grants (money you do not have to pay back) and is for need-based aid (depending on your family's income). You will be required to fill out an FAFSA when you attend all public and state colleges or universities. Most private schools also require it. If you have any question regarding the FAFSA, please feel free to make a consultation appointment so that I can help you fill it out. It takes approximately 1-1 1/2 hours to fill it out online and requires that you fill in detailed financial info from both you and your parents (from your 2012 tax forms). Here is the official FAFSA link: www.fafsa.ed.gov/Click on the green button "Start a New FAFSA."

The FFAA is now open, as of Dec. 1, 2012. If you are planning to apply for a Florida Bright Future Scholarship, you need to fill the FFAA (Florida Financial Aid Application) as soon as possible! It takes about 15 minutes to fill it out online and requires no financial info (just academic). It HAS to be filled out before our graduation date: May 24, 2013. Steps Students Should Take to Complete the Application Process: Go to www.FloridaStudentFinancialAid.org. Select State Grants, Scholarships & Applications and Apply Here to complete and submit an online application. Select Programs Offered to view detailed state programs information. Pay attention to program deadlines listed in the application conditions section, the application results screen, and the application acknowledgement communication, sent to the student’s e-mail address provided by the student on his/her application. The FFAA will provide a User ID and PIN to each applicant upon submitting the application via the Saved Results Page and in an e-mail communication. Students can use their User IDs and PINs to check: The status of certification(s) prior to the program deadline(s). The status of awards following the program deadlines. For notifications from OSFA regarding award status. Note: The online 2013-3014 FFAA will close August 31, 2013. By that date, all state scholarship and grant deadlines for the 2013-2014 academic year will have passed and all school districts will have completed graduation (including summer session) for the 2012-2013 academic year.

Hello, Seniors and Parents!
Here is the info regarding ordering Formal Senior Portraits from the day of graduation. All seniors will be photographed in two shots, one in all their graduation regalia (cap/gown, stole, medallion, cords, etc.) and the other in regular clothes. Packages A-B will include the graduation regalia pose, while Packages C-E will include both poses. The packages vary in size and price, so print the attached PDF and choose what you would like to order.
Also, Mr. Chavez is making extra prints and a candid CD available a la carte; I recommend purchasing the CD of candid photos that he takes throughout the ceremony and reception (it is a great deal!).
I would like to collect your order and cash/check payments (made payable to Tony Chavez) at rehearsal on Thursday, May 23. You will not be able to order from the photo shoot after the day of graduation.
I highly encourage everyone to order these beautiful portrait packages! Mr. Chavez is a highly professional and gifted photographer with Cook Images (http://cookimages.com/). We hire him to photograph your special day for you and your family.

Some of you have not done a great job letting your parents know about this project (and a few of you have, so bravo to you!); here are the details.
At the reception after the graduation ceremony, all participating seniors will have a 3-4 foot table display area that they create for themselves. Most times, it includes a decorated tri-fold display board, pictures, décor, and info regarding you, your life in general, your personality, and your senior year!
Your display can include, but is not limited to, the following:
trophies
award ribbons
award certificates
photo albums
portrait frames
décor that reflects your personality
your favorite books
shoes
hats
accessories
assorted stuffed animals
guest favors
candy
As you can see, what you display can vary! And we have not had any instances of theft yet, so feel free to display yourself! Don't include any family heirlooms or antiques, as your guests are generally intrigued by what you display and may handle your things. :-)
